Job Aid: How to Clear Your Browser Cache

Depending on which browser your users are on, the steps vary slightly. You can share these instructions to help them through the process.

Google Chrome (Desktop)

Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
Select Clear Browsing Data.
Set the Time Range to All time.
Check Cached images and files.
Click Clear data.

Microsoft Edge

Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner.
Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
Select All time and check Cached images and files.
Click Clear now.

Mozilla Firefox

Click the three lines (≡) in the top-right corner.
Select Settings > Privacy & Security.
In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data.
Check Cached Web Content.
Click Clear.

Safari (Mac)

Click Safari in the top menu bar.
Select Settings (or Preferences).
Go to the Advanced tab.
Check Show features for web developers.
Click the new Develop menu in the top bar.
Select Empty Caches.

Mobile Browsers

Chrome (Android/iOS): Tap the three dots > Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data.
Safari (iPhone/iPad): Open the Settings app > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.
