Every year, the American Cancer Society and many other organizations dedicate the month of October to raising awareness about breast cancer. Check out the Healthy People 2030 cancer topic to find national objectives related to breast cancer. And be sure to share our easy-to-understand MyHealthfinder resources to help people learn about breast cancer screening and genetic counseling and testing for breast cancer.

Health Literacy Awareness

Since 1999, the Institute of Healthcare Advancement has supported Health Literacy Month — a time to talk about the importance of understandable health information. Check out our blog post to find out how we’re celebrating this important NHO! And take a look at our list of some key Healthy People 2030 objectives related to health literacy. You can use it as a starting point to build your own list — and easily track progress toward these objectives throughout the decade. Finally, consider sharing MyHealthfinder content to help your colleagues communicate important health and wellness information with people who have limited health literacy skills.

Cerner Disconnect 11/5/2020


The Cerner network components are being updated beginning November 5, 2020, at 8:00 p.m.for new Primary Cerner and Crosstown Circuits.

Cerner and all Cerner Interfaces will remain up butwill be disrupted three to four times during the event. Cerner interfaces will automatically reconnect, but this disruption may result in a brief delay of updated information to and from:?Foreign Systems Interface (FSI –i.e., Patient Admissions, Discharges, & Transfers [ADT], Radiologyresults from PowerScribe, TeleTracking tracking updates, Pyxis Med Orders)•Medical Device Interfaces (MDI –i.e., Lab results) •Bedside Medical Device Interfaces (BMDI –i.e., Vitals) If you have any questions about missing data or results, please contact the Help Desk for guidance.

Core Diabetes Application (GlucoStabilizer Replacement) - Rolling Go-Live

Core Diabetes Application (CDA) is a Cerner-Integrated Insulin-Management solution that will soon replace the GlucoStabilizer. CDA will replace the outdated GlucoStabilizer system and standardize insulin management practice among the IUH system.
